Sinai Christian Academy would like to welcome, Mr. Maurice McClain, the

new Head Track and Field Coach to the Warriors family. Coach McClain brings to SCA a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in the field of athletics.

 

Maurice “Mo” McClain has over 20 years of athletic experience, with expertise in track and field and football. His accomplishments are inclusive of high school, college, post collegiate and community endeavors, all of which have fueled his passion for youth athletics. Professionally, Coach Mo holds a degree in Sociology from Syracuse University and has worked with adolescents in educational and behavioral health settings for 15 years. Additionally, he has been a coach for youth sports in various capacities for over 10 years.

His coaching philosophy emphasizes character, skill development, speed and core strength, which he believes transcends all sports. It is his goal to provide athletes with competitive, and engaging opportunities to work as a team, and challenge their personal ability, leading to high performance and progressive opportunities.

 

Receiving a full athletic scholarship to Syracuse, Coach Mo knows firsthand the opportunities that sports can afford young athletes, which can positively impact their future. As a husband and father of three sons, he is committed to serving as an example of how to utilize God given talents, skills and abilities to positively impact the lives of others. He is humbled by the opportunity to be surrounded by talented people who share his vision and passion, with an unwavering commitment to youth development.

All-state athlete in football -wide receiver and Defensive Back

All state athlete in track and field in intermediate hurdles, high jump and long jump

USA Today Top 100 national football players
